Natural Remedies for AcneWashing the Face twice every day

Skin cleansing is very important for the prevention of acne, and surprisingly one of the most overlooked. The face should be washed twice everyday with a very mild soap. This helps in removing bacteria, dirt, and dead cells of the skin and excess oils that cause breakouts. However, it should be noted that the face or any other skin area should not be over-washed because over-washing can result in excessive breakouts, that’s why twice a day is recommended.

Reduction in Stress Level

It has been shown that tension and anxiety can also result in acne breakouts. Though stress cannot be avoided completely, this is also one of the most overlooked causes of acne. Stress triggers acne, and that acne will induce more stress! I find that during stressful times in my life acne just complicates the situation so thankfully there’s makeup!  Whatever situation is bringing in stress in your life try to resolve it and try to do something that relaxes you, whatever that is for you. Stress can be best handled by getting enough sleep, meditation, eating healthy food and by getting away from any kind of stressful situation.

Physical Exercises

Regular physical exercise can decrease your stress level and it actually helps with preventing acne. While working out the skin is able to get a bigger supply of blood that gives more oxygen to the skin. Sweating  while working out cleanses the skin pores as well. However, it’s important to shower after your workout or your pores could get clogged!

Stay Hydrated

One of the best and the healthiest ways of avoiding acne is by increasing the intake of water. If water is taken in sufficient quantities, it stimulates toxin removal and also helps in maintaining skin hydration.

Eating  a Healthy Diet

Ace can be triggered by eating junk food as well. Your body has to remove more toxins from an unhealthy diet and so it’s easier for your pores to get overloaded and more plugged up. Therefore, the breakout of acne can be stopped by having a very healthy diet. Foods containing vitamins A and E and zinc should always be added to diet because such foods help in acne prevention.

Nettle

Nettle has been used for a very long time as an effective treatment for acne. This is a plant that effectively works in treating acne, but it also possesses stinging properties and therefore it should be handled with a lot of care. Boiled nettle leaves added with lemon should be taken in the form of tea as this helps in eliminating acne because nettle possesses anti-inflammatory properties. If nettle leaves are not found, dried nettle available in the natural grocery store can also be used for this purpose.
